People are always talking about Wilco this, Wilco that, but as far as I’m concerned Son Volt has that shit on lock, son. I mean, its like, after awhile you get tired of listening to music made by people who look so much cooler than you. Son Volt, though, they look like a bunch of dudes that just got kicked out of the Spin Doctors, circa 1996. They’re like the dudes who just buy their clothes at Mervyn’s or wherever becuase they’re too busy pwning the world with some jangle-roots rock n roll music.
