Our (and by our, I mean whoever it is that’s still around after the earth is destroyed by the sun in about 10 billion years) view of cosmology, the study of the universe, will be remarkably similar to those held in the 19th century, as the expansion of the universe will make erase all evidence of galaxies other than our own and of universal expansion itself. Comforting, isn’t it?
