Could It Really Be True?

In two recent interviews I did with Sean Price and Black Milk there was one common denominator that was shared in both conversations that each swore they shouldn’t be talking about. “I know I should keep this under wraps, but we're trying to put together a collaboration album with Sean Price and Guilty Simpson. That will fuck up the game if that really sees the light of day,” revealed Black, who’s album album Popular Demand drops March 13th on Fat Beats Records.

“I shouldn’t be talking about it either, but it’s too hot! The joints we got are hot B! It’s gonna come out crazy. Guilty is nice, he got me on my toes. Black Milk just sent me some tracks the other day, and it’s just stupid. I feel like we’re cheating,” finished Sean P, who just released his sophmore solo joint Jesus Price Superstar.

The idea alone is bananas. Sean and Guilty have similar styles that I think will compliment each other pretty well, and then with Black on the beats…..getouttahere. It’s over! Both had no idea when the album might come to fruition, and with Guilty’s solo coming out soon on Stones Throw I would imagine it will be a minute, but know that it’s not a rumor. I suppose it’s bitter sweet hearing about projects like this; on one side it gives you something to look forward to, but one, two, three years later and the album hasn’t come out, it just leaves a bitter taste in the mouth (think Golden State Warrirors).
