Our friends in Rocco DeLuca and The Burden are basically kicking ass and taking names. Plus they have the hottest publicist ever. And I mean that in a totally professional way. Here’s the press release and tour dates DOOD:
Los Angeles, CA- January 24, 2007 - Rocco DeLuca and The Burden are continuing to receive good news this year. They have been announced to take part in the first-ever VH1 (You Oughta Know� Tour alongside Mat Kearny and The Feeling. The month-long tour will kick off March 17th in Denver and tickets are available for a special pre-sale beginning today, January 24th on VH1.com. Prior to the YOK tour, the group will be opening a string of dates for Keane, which launches this Friday in Los Angeles. Their debut album, I Trust You To Kill Me is currently being featured in the Starbucks HearMusic program and DeLuca will be doing acoustic solo performances at various Starbucks locations throughout the tour.
Rocco DeLuca and The Burden's single, (Colorful� is swiftly climbing the charts at Hot AC across the country. It broke the top 40 in the format its first week out and has been gaining momentum ever since. Coinciding with their Los Angeles show this week, supporter STAR 98.7 will air an exclusive (Star Lounge� on Friday, January 26 in the 8AM PST hour and again in the 6PM hour. The performance was recorded at Ironworks Studio which is owned and operated by label owners Jude Cole and Kiefer Sutherland and can be heard online at www.star987.com
Rocco DeLuca and The Burden are the new featured artist for American Eagle Outfitters “Aerie”. Their song, (Colorfulâ€? is available for free download via www.ae.com under (Aerieâ€? along with exclusive live performances and is featured in more than 600 stores throughout the country.
On February 2nd, VH1 will re-air the documentary, I Trust You To Kill Me; which follows the band on a European tour with their less than qualified tour manager, Kiefer Sutherland. The documentary was released on DVD, January 9th.
