LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - New York State health officials said on Wednesday they are investigating 15 confirmed cases of E.coli infection linked to Taco Bell restaurants.

The cases have been reported in five New York counties, including Suffolk, Nassau, Clinton, Oneida and Otsego. Previously, health officials had said the E.coli cases were limited to Suffolk and Nassau counties in Long Island.

An additional 15 potential cases are also being investigated in New York, the state’s health department said in a statement.
