if it ain’t scottish, it’s crap

I spoke to Isobel Campbell way back this year when she put out an album with Mark Lanegan, who I also spoke to once (while he was ordering burgers at an In-N-Out drive thru). In addition to having the best Scottish accent ever, she also makes really good music. I just got her new solo album, Milkwhite Sheets today, and it’s like lullabies for elves. Check out “Beggar, Wiseman or Thief” for proof. There’s even a song on it titled “James,” which is my name, which leads me to believe that our interview was a life changing experience for her.
